Associate Socks Designer (Mens, Womens and Kids)
Onsite in NYC

Salary: 70k- 80k DOE

We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented designer to join a legwear team focused on developing fresh, commercially relevant product. This person will help bring new concepts to life, blending trend research, design execution, and cross-functional collaboration to create compelling collections for the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of sock and legwear assortments that reflect current trends and customer demand.
  • Research fashion direction, color inspiration, fabrication, and category shifts to support new product ideas.
  • Develop sketches, CADs, and visual concepts with strong attention to design detail, fit, and construction.
  • Identify and review materials, trims, and finishes with a focus on quality, functionality, and value.
  • Partner with development and sample teams to refine prototypes and ensure the final product aligns with the original design intent.
  • Create technical packages and clear product specifications for production and vendor use.
  • Assist with seasonal color stories, pattern direction, and overall product aesthetic.
  • Take part in fittings and product reviews, offering feedback to improve wear, comfort, and visual appeal.
  • Stay informed on market activity and competitor product to help identify whitespace and newness opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal partners across merchandising, production, and marketing to support a smooth design-to-launch process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of design experience, ideally within socks, hosiery, legwear, or a similar product category.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong taste, creativity, and product design skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and product development fundamentals.
  • Strong drawing, rendering, and visualization abilities.
  • Good understanding of consumer trends and the broader fashion landscape.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a passion for creating trend-right product.
