Position Overview We are looking for a hands-on Technical Designer to support product development from initial concept through final production. This person will play a key role in translating design ideas into production-ready garments, maintaining fit consistency, and helping ensure products align with quality and brand expectations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically strong, and comfortable partnering with internal teams and external vendors in a fast-paced apparel environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and revise technical packages, specifications, and garment details for development and production.
  • Develop technical drawings and CAD updates to support product execution and vendor communication.
  • Build and maintain block patterns while helping drive fit consistency across categories.
  • Lead fittings, capture feedback, and communicate revisions clearly to cross-functional partners and vendors.
  • Review samples for fit, construction, and overall quality, recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Support the full product lifecycle by identifying issues early and helping keep development on track.
  • Partner closely with design, product development, and production teams to align on timelines and deliverables.
  • Track updates, document changes, and provide clear reporting on development progress.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, construction techniques, and best practices in technical design.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting deadlines in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Background in technical design, product development, or a related apparel field.
  • Experience creating CAD sketches, technical flats, and production-ready specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern work, fit evaluation, and development processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proactive problem-solver who can identify challenges early and help drive solutions.
