Technical Designer – Outerwear
We are seeking an immediately available Technical Designer with 6+ years of experience, preferably in women’s outerwear. This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly detail-oriented, organized, and confident managing the technical design process from fittings through final approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in fittings with design and cross-functional teams; take detailed notes and track all updates
- Measure proto and pre-production samples to ensure accuracy against specs
- Update tech packs and prepare clear, accurate fit comments and corrections
- Communicate directly with vendors and factories regarding fit, construction, and sample updates
- Manage sample tracking and help ensure timelines are met throughout the development process
- Maintain consistency in garment specs, construction details, and product quality
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of Technical Design experience
- Must have outerwear experience; women’s outerwear preferred
- Strong experience participating in fittings and updating technical packages
- Proven ability to handle vendor communication and sample tracking
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Illustrator
