Job description

We’re partnering with a growing fashion brand seeking an experienced Production Patternmaker to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive expertise in women’s dresses who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys taking garments from concept through final production.

The ideal candidate has advanced TUKA CAD skills, exceptional technical patternmaking experience, and a deep understanding of fit, construction, grading, and garment engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop, and maintain production-ready patterns using TUKA CAD
  • Build accurate patterns for woven and knit dresses
  • Translate tech packs, sketches, and fit comments into production patterns
  • Execute fit revisions and pattern corrections through final production approval
  • Partner closely with Design, Technical Design, Production, and overseas vendors
  • Ensure consistency in fit, grading, construction, and quality across all styles
  • Review production samples and troubleshoot pattern-related issues
  • Manage multiple priorities while meeting seasonal production deadlines

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of production patternmaking experience in women’s apparel
  • Extensive recent experience with women’s dresses (required)
  • Advanced proficiency in TUKA Pattern Design Software
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading, drape, and pattern engineering
  • Proven experience creating production-ready patterns (not development or sample-only)
  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

Preferred Background:

  • Production Patternmaker specializing in women’s dresses
  • Experience with both woven and knit dress construction
  • Strong expertise in fit corrections, grading, and production approvals
  • Experience partnering with overseas factories and production vendors
  • Background in contemporary, premium, or dress-focused apparel brands
