Salary Range: $90,000–$110,000

Position Overview

We are seeking a commercially minded Wholesale Account Manager to lead and expand a portfolio of beauty brands within Target. This role owns the day-to-day health of the account, turning new launches into sustainable, scalable businesses through strong retailer partnerships, performance analysis, forecasting, inventory planning, and promotional execution.

The ideal candidate combines deep retail-account discipline with a passion for beauty and emerging consumer trends. You will manage multiple brands and SKUs, partner closely with Target stakeholders and internal teams, and use data to identify opportunities that increase revenue, improve sell-through, and strengthen long-term account performance.

What You’ll Do
Account Leadership & Retailer Partnership

  • Own the daily management of the Target business across multiple beauty brands and product assortments.
  • Serve as a primary contact for buyers, merchants, and cross-functional retail partners.
  • Build trusted relationships through responsive communication, clear follow-through, and thoughtful business recommendations.
  • Prepare and lead buyer meetings, account updates, line reviews, and regular business reviews.
  • Partner with senior leadership on annual planning, major assortment discussions, and strategic account initiatives.

Sales Growth & Commercial Strategy

  • Monitor revenue, gross profit, sell-through, SKU productivity, door count, and promotional performance.
  • Analyze weekly sales and POS data to identify trends, risks, and whitespace opportunities.
  • Develop growth plans spanning assortment expansion, additional distribution, seasonal programs, promotions, and product innovation.
  • Track competitive activity, pricing, category trends, and the evolving beauty landscape at Target.
  • Translate account insights into actionable recommendations for internal leadership and brand partners.

Sell-Through Reporting & Brand Management

  • Produce clear, recurring sell-through and performance reports for brand partners.
  • Evaluate results by brand, SKU, launch period, promotion, and store footprint.
  • Identify underperforming items early and coordinate corrective plans around assortment, inventory, promotion, or marketing support.
  • Use retailer data to inform future forecasts, replenishment decisions, promotional strategies, and assortment conversations.

Forecasting & Inventory Planning

  • Maintain rolling sales forecasts and inventory plans by brand and SKU.
  • Monitor weeks of supply, forecast accuracy, inventory health, seasonality, and launch timing.
  • Anticipate potential out-of-stock or overstock risks and recommend replenishment actions.
  • Partner with operations and supply-chain teams to support product availability and efficient inventory flow.

Launches, Promotions & Retail Execution

  • Lead U.S.-side commercial execution for new brand and product launches after retailer onboarding.
  • Develop and manage launch calendars, promotional plans, seasonal programs, and retailer-specific initiatives.
  • Coordinate timelines and readiness across retail partners, brand teams, commercial stakeholders, and operations.
  • Monitor post-launch performance and recommend actions that improve sell-through and accelerate growth.
  • Coordinate participation in retailer promotions, marketing opportunities, and key seasonal moments.

Cross-Functional & Operational Coordination

  • Act as a bridge among Target, internal U.S. teams, international commercial partners, and brand stakeholders.
  • Communicate retailer feedback, product needs, opportunities, and performance concerns to the appropriate teams.
  • Partner with retail operations on purchase orders, EDI, shipments, 3PL coordination, item setup, retailer systems, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Help resolve deductions, compliance concerns, shipment discrepancies, and other operational issues before they affect the account.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, sales reporting, launch calendars, promotional calendars, and account documentation.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in retail account management, customer development, sales, merchandising, or a related commercial function.
  • Direct experience working with Target is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in beauty, skincare, cosmetics, personal care, or consumer packaged goods is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a national retail account, including POS analysis, forecasting, inventory, promotions, and product launches.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and confidence working with sales, inventory, and SKU-level performance data.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Target Partners Online, Circana or Nielsen data, SPS Commerce, EDI, or retailer systems is a plus.
  • Strong commercial judgment and an ability to turn data into practical, growth-oriented decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-management, and organizational skills.
  • Comfort managing multiple brands, launches, priorities, and timelines in a fast-moving environment.
  • A proactive, hands-on ownership mindset and genuine interest in beauty, K-beauty, and consumer trends.

What Success Looks Like

  • You have a clear, current understanding of the Target business: what is selling, what needs attention, where inventory risk exists, and where growth can be unlocked.
  • You build credibility with retail and brand partners through dependable execution and insightful recommendations.
  • You turn account data into stronger forecasts, healthier inventory, more effective promotions, and better assortment decisions.
  • You do more than maintain the business—you continuously identify opportunities to grow it.
