Key Responsibilities
• Lead raw material sourcing and development across handbags & footwear and accessories categories, with a focus on leather, trims, hardware, and specialty materials
• Partner closely with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, and Production teams to support seasonal product creation from concept through execution
• Drive material innovation by identifying new sources, fabrication techniques, finishes, and construction solutions aligned with brand direction
• Manage global vendor and supplier relationships, including overseas sourcing partners, mills, tanneries, and trim suppliers
• Oversee costing strategy, supplier negotiations, MOQ management, and lead time optimization

Ideal Background
• 8+ years of experience in raw materials development, sourcing, or procurement within footwear and/or accessories
• Strong background in leather, trims, hardware, and specialty material development
• Experience managing global vendor relationships and overseas sourcing partnerships
• Deep understanding of costing, production timelines, MOQs, and manufacturing constraints

Technical Designer Responsibilities:
Lead the technical development process from first fit through production approval.
Conduct fit sessions and send comments to internal teams and factory partners.
Assess garment fit, balance, construction, and overall quality
Create, maintain, and revise technical packages, including measurements, construction details, grading, tolerances, and fit standards.
Partner with Design, Product Development, Sourcing, and Manufacturing to preserve design intent while meeting cost, quality, and delivery goals.
Communicate directly with overseas vendors to resolve fit, construction, and production issues.
Review pre-production samples help ensure consistency through bulk production.
Technical Designer Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
5–8+ years of technical design experience within apparel, MUST include children’s experience
Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, fit, and production processes.
Experience creating detailed technical specifications and measurement charts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator. PLM A plus
