Seasonal Host/Client Care Assistant – Madison Ave

Employment Type: Freelance | Pay: $25/hour

Job Summary

The Seasonal Host / Client Care Assistant plays a key role in creating an exceptional in-store experience during the holiday season. As a first and final point of contact for guests, this person creates a warm, welcoming environment while supporting client care, aftercare coordination, and front-of-house operations.

This position combines hospitality, customer service, and operational support in a high-volume retail setting. The ideal candidate is polished, organized, approachable, and committed to ensuring every client feels acknowledged and supported throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities
Client Experience & Hosting

  • Welcome clients upon arrival and thank them warmly as they leave.
  • Create an elevated, organized, and inviting in-store experience.
  • Offer hospitality support, including beverages, store directions, and shopping assistance.
  • Manage client traffic and help maintain a smooth flow throughout the store.
  • Answer client questions regarding products, promotions, services, and store policies.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and approachable presence at all times.
  • Share relevant information about products, services, and in-store events.

Client Care & Aftercare Support

  • Support repair and aftercare requests from initial intake through client follow-up.
  • Receive and inspect incoming products and confirm supporting documentation is complete.
  • Document repair needs accurately and process repair orders, shipping labels, and related materials.
  • Track items through the repair lifecycle and coordinate communication with clients and internal teams.
  • Provide updates regarding repair status, estimates, completion timelines, and shipping details.
  • Assist with replacements, upgrades, and items determined to be beyond economical repair, as directed.
  • Maintain an organized repair inventory, supplies, and related records.

Store Operations & Administrative Support

  • Support front-of-house functions and team operations during peak business periods.
  • Assist with restocking, display organization, light merchandising, and sales-floor upkeep.
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming entryway and store environment.
  • Process client-care documentation accurately within company systems.
  • Maintain complete records of client interactions, repair history, and follow-up actions.
  • Assist with reporting, KPI tracking, and general administrative tasks as needed.
  • Follow all applicable company policies, procedures, and service standards.

Loss Prevention & Store Awareness

  • Remain attentive to store activity and promptly communicate suspicious behavior or incidents to management.
  • Help maintain a safe, secure, and organized environment for clients and team members.

Qualifications

  • Previous retail, hospitality, customer service, or client-care experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, polished, and client-focused demeanor.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort using POS systems and other business technology; retail or service-platform experience is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight as needed.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
