24 Seven is partnering with a large, well-known company in Portland, OR to help them find an Administrative Assistant to join their team in this hybrid role! This is a full-time, 2 month contract with potential to extend. While on contract, you'd be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, sick time, 401K and holiday pay.*Candidates must be willing to work onsite up to 3 days a week in Portland, OR*
Position Summary:
Provide administrative support for merchandising director. Provide leadership and training of key functions to the administrative assistants within the department. Coordinate communication between the division(s), brokers/vendors, buyers and the merchandising teams. Manage telephone coverage for the department. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support and problem-solving assistance to members of the department including routine clerical duties and coordinating travel schedules
• Ensure accurate, efficient processing and disposition of written correspondence and protect highly confidential and sensitive information
• Provide project support, including proofreading, managing distribution lists, reports and records
• Maintain and file numerous daily, period, quarterly and annual reports
• Provide professional communication on a frequent basis to other general office departments, divisions and suppliers
• Assist in the coordination of company activities
• Demonstrate familiarity with corporate policies and procedures, the various operating units, organizational levels and reporting relationships
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in an administrative support role
• Working knowledge of merchandising functions
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work with many other groups towards successful outcomes
• Self-directed in planning and organizing work processes
• Must be detail oriented
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, listening skills and diplomacy with people
• Dedication to teamwork and a willingness to assist all members of the team
• Flexibility to handle ever-changing scope of assignments and projects
