Assistant and Associate Designer (Girls)5 days onsite NYC
50-75K DOE
Our client is a must have brand for Girls apparel. The sizes range from 2T- 16. They are looking to add an Assistant Designer to their growing team for denim, wovens and knits.
This role is Fulltime 5 days onsite in NYC
Design Assistant Responsibilities:
- Helping to prepare design boards for sketch reviews and meetings.
- Sample management
- Assist creative director to maintain and update design boards with appropriate fabrics, sketches and references images as needed.
- Imagery, color and design research.
- Creating and launching tech packs and sketch updates.
- Creating trials, drapes, and swatches in our in-house atelier to develop and explore new ideas
- Participate in fittings and stylings.
- Researching inspiration online and offsite.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Fashion Design
- 1+ years corporate or internship experience OR 3 years for the Assoc level - Girls design a PLUS
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Denim a plus
- Basic understanding of technical packages
