Associate DesignerLos Angeles based Apparel Company is looking for an Associate Designer for their Knit/Woven division. The ideal candidate must be hardworking, detail oriented, organized, a team player and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Location: DTLA / M-F schedule
Salary: $60K - $65K dependent on experience.
What you will do:
- Ensure execution of all samples for monthly market and sales meetings.
- Working with CAD/3D artists, pattern makers and sales reps to services all store accounts and address special projects.
- Compiling pre-costing information as needed for pre-production tech packs
- Manage fabric inventory and library
- Responsible for maintaining all line sheets, fabric and cutting ticket books.
- Manage send outs writing Pos, following up on orders sent out to vendors
- Compile and pass all standards/qualities to costing tech member for order hand off meetings
- Proficient in sketching
- Photo/tagging line and filing market design packs
- Assist in costing - based on staffing in dept.
- Create tech packs for overseas development
- Assist with follow up on OD styles
All other duties as maybe assigned by management
What we are looking for:
- Must have 3-4 years of experience in the garment industry
- Proficient in sketching
- Computer experience with knowledge of Photoshop, CAD, Illustrator, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Tech Packs
- Must have excellent time management and organization skills.
