Our client is a boutique global start-up company within the film/photography world.

They are seeking a full time Building & Operations Manager to join the team as they launch their first U.S. based location in Baltimore, MD. This is a great opportunity for an experienced individual to work with a thriving company as the company embarks on its next stage of major growth.

Responsibilities

The Building & Logistics Manager’s primary responsibilities is to manage the fulfilment and shipping of products and oversee the day-to-day operations of the office space.

? Oversee and lead all daily operations from the collection of a lens to its final domestic or international delivery, including sourcing customer shipping and insurance information, creating shipping and customs documents, arranging quotes, collections and billing

? Maintain shipping and inventory records of sales products

? Own relationships with multiple third-party logistics providers (customs brokers, freight providers etc), refining the process and driving improvements on performance and cost

? Communicate shipping timelines, tracking numbers and statuses to customers

? Serve as an exceptional customer service representative in the office

? Maintain a flexible schedule to be able to open or close the office daily and some nights and weekends for events for space rentals.

? Manage day-to-day operations and maintain the schedule for office use and events.

? Other duties as assigned.

 

What we’re looking for

? Experience with MS Office, and invoicing software such as QuickBooks or Xero

? Experience with stock management, inventory, and reporting

? At least five years of customer service/operations experience, with superior customer service skills demonstrated

? Familiarity working experience with FedEx, UPS and other freight agents (desired, but not required)

? Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

? Good reasoning, conflict-management, and analytical and problem-solving skills

? Trustworthy and communicative
