Job description
As the Director of Business Insights, you will be responsible for maximizing potential of our data-driven business approach. Your role is instrumental in identifying opportunities, solving complex business problems, and fostering a culture of data excellence within the organization. You will lead the development and adoption of key performance indicators (KPIs), mentor a team of talented business analysts, and work closely with our data engineering team to harness the power of AI-driven insights. The position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.Key Responsibilities
• KPI Development and Adoption: Develop and implement KPIs aligned with our company's strategic goals. Educate and drive the adoption of these KPIs across various operational areas, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
• Business Collaboration: Collaborate closely with senior executives, department heads, and business units to gain a comprehensive understanding of business metrics and support data-driven decision-making. Serve as a trusted advisor, offering insights and recommendations to drive strategic initiatives.
• Functional Expertise: Gain a deep understanding of all aspects across our major functional areas, including marketing-based lead generation, as well as customer qualification, installation, and service.
• Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and lead a team of highly motivated and insightful business analysts. Encourage a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and proactive data-driven decision-making within the team.
• Data Structuring and AI Integration: Provide guidance to our data engineering team on data requirements and structures to facilitate insightful analysis. Collaborate with our technology team to harness AI tools and techniques to drive actionable business insights.

• Demonstrated people management skills including training, developing and mentoring team members
• Strong understanding of data analysis and modeling techniques and algorithms.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools, specifically Power BI, and data analytics tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Azure, Python, R).
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the capability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
Experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related quantitative discipline; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role.
• Experience in consumer-focused business - telecommunications industry experience is a significant advantage.
