Director of Financial Planning Overview:
The Director of Financial Planning will drive the financial and strategic leadership across our business, both for E-Comm and stores. The Director of Financial Planning will have oversight and provide direction for the pre-season plans & in-season OTB forecast. The plans and forecasts will merge the corporate direction with the merchandise strategies (including maximizing digital KPI’s to ensure outsized growth).
Director of Financial Planning Responsibilities:
- Participate in the creation and execution of the strategic vision for the business - use data to make prudent and effective decisions. Anticipate business changes and respond quickly and judiciously
- Be accountable for sales and stock targets by FOB by channel that align to the business needs and corporate direction
- Oversee the OTB forecasts including sales, GM, receipts, and inventory (as well as BOPIS, dropship, replenishment, SFS, choice count and productivity level forecasts at the department level)
- Validate in-season opportunities and recommendations from the business including promotional recommendations to minimize liabilities and maximize business impact
- Work closely with the financial planners on choice count and productivity plans and forecasts to drive demand. Partner with DMMs on executing choice count targets
- Partner with the merchant teams to validate locker stock capacities and strategies to maximize receipts
- Oversee the pre-season planning and target setting process
- Be responsible for mentoring and developing team of financial planners and assistant financial planners
Director of Financial Planning Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 6 years of experience in financial/ OTB planning
- Proven ability to develop and manage high performing teams. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in leading teams
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite of tools inclusive of Excel and PowerPoint / Google Docs
