Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Specialist - EMEA

Department: Global Places and Security (EHS)
Reports To: Sr. Global Environmental Health and Safety Manager
Location: London, UK

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our client's Global Places and Security team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating environmental health and safety (EHS) programs and policies for our organization. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successfully managing regional projects, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be familiar with EHS regulations in the EMEA region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the EMEA region-wide Medical and Eye Health Program.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in EMEA country-specific EHS regulations and practices.
  • Utilize online systems for tracking tickets and creating simple web pages.
  • Oversee and maintain regional ergonomics programs and evaluations.
  • Support EHS Incident Investigation, including recommending corrective actions and tracking incident metrics.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards, driving remediation of safety gaps.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures for all operations.
  • Deliver training programs on EHS regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain EHS records and documentation.
  • Compile and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on EHS regulations and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate daily with the US EHS team for 2-3 hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental health, safety, or a related field.
  • Ergonomics Certification.
  • EHS Certification such as ASP, CSP, CIH.
  • Strong knowledge of European EHS regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Strong Learning Management and Ticketing System skills.
