POSITION OVERVIEW:
A well-established manufacturer of officially licensed college and professional sports apparel for women is seeking a Head of E-Commerce to join their team

**Knowledge or interest in sports and sports communities is a must!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • D2C Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive D2C strategy that aligns with the brand's goals, driving revenue growth, customer acquisition/retention, and help deliver a best in class ecommerce experience for our customers. Oversee the end-to-end e-commerce operations, directing all aspects of our ecommerce site including: business development, content strategy, paid and organic channels, website design, web and sales analytics, digital merchandising, product assortment, pricing, promotions and development
  • P&L/Budget Management: Build sales plans and marketing budgets, manage the e-commerce P&L/budget efficiently and profitably, allocating resources to drive maximum ROI while continuously monitoring and optimizing marketing spend.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in our e-commerce operations. Implement data-driven decision-making processes to optimize sales performance and customer engagement.Develop a best in class test and learn culture leveraging A/B testing methodologies across site experience and marketing campaigns.
  •  Partnerships and Collaborations: Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and collaborations that can expand our brand's reach and visibility. Establish and maintain relationships with key industry players, influencers, and affiliates.
  • Team Building and Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a startup-like environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and collaboration. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, enabling them to excel in their roles and drive optimal performance and team cohesion.
  •  Digital Footprint Expansion: Leverage digital marketing channels and innovative content to engage and add value to the millions of sports fans following our brand. Develop captivating campaigns that resonate with the target audience and increase brand loyalty.
  •  Fashion and Sports Community Understanding: Possess an in-depth understanding of the sports communities our brand represents and the ever-evolving fashion trends. Utilize this knowledge to tailor marketing strategies, product offerings, and content to meet the unique needs and interests of our diverse audience.
  • Multi-Branded Site Development: Create an effective strategy to market and sell both sports licensed products and women's fashion items on a single multi-branded site. Ensure a seamless user experience that enhances customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.
  • Technology and Tools Integration: Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce technologies, tools, and trends. Implement appropriate solutions to enhance the website's functionality, security, and overall performance.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 7-10+ years of relevant experience as an e-commerce business manager or director, with a significant focus on direct-to-consumer operations, leading teams and developing strategic plans
  • Minimum 4+ years managing Shopify, Shopify Plus web stores.
  • Proven track record of building and growing profitable D2C websites, ideally within the fashion or sports apparel industry.
  • Extensive Experience managing P&L, budgets, and driving profitable financial results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to both lead direct reports and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Ability to synthesize information and present at a high-level
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce tools, platforms, and trends, including expertise in web analytics, SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media marketing.
  • Confidence in data analysis, web traffic analysis, sales projection analysis, A/B testing, and reporting tools
  • A deep passion for and understanding of both fashion and sports communities.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with the ability to leverage analytics to drive strategy and performance improvements.
  •  Strong project management skills, able to handle multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
