Our client, a retail apparel and fashion brand is hiring a HR Coordinator!On-site 5 days a week at their office located at Montebello, CA

Job Description
- Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining employee database and sorting emails for the HR Department
- Provides day-to-day counsel on matters concerning employee relations, including performance improvement (disciplinary process), employee contracts (creation, review & renewal), HR compliance, law, and government regulations
- Assist in creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations
- Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records
- Attending community, organizations, colleges such as driven events and job fairs for the purpose of promoting the Company brand and assist in recruiting
- Build strong relationships, partnership, and collaboration with hiring managers and the HR team
- Work with global teams to define and localize the brand and strategies for employee relations
- Proactively support and partner to develop organizational and employee effectiveness solutions working closely with HR and functional partners to deliver solutions and change management plans
- Troubleshoot issues independently and drive them to closure with minimal supervision; persevere in the face of internal and external barriers.
- Assist in office administrative tasks and participate in any ad-hoc projects as assignment
Requirement
- 2+ or more years of directly related experience required
- Good communications & interpersonal skills
- Responsible, self-motivated, proactive, good team player and detail-minded
- Experience with onboarding and offboarding
- Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy, discretion and confidentiality
- People oriented and results driven
- Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge of California and Federal labor laws and HR best practices
- Effective communication, relationship-building, and strong problem-solving skills
- Must have availability to work flexible hours
- Be familiar with the multicultural working environment
- Possess of excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong sense of responsibilities and able to meet deadlines and multi-tasks
- Be able to communicate with people at all levels of the organization and cope with a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Payroll and benefits administration knowledge is a plus
