Job description
We are seeking a talented and experienced women's contemporary apparel and accessories designer to join our team. This designer will play a crucial role in creating apparel and accessories and work alongside the CEO and Creative Director.
Responsibilities
- Develop designs for women’s contemporary apparel & accessories. Products include blouses, bottoms, dresses soft accessories and home goods
- Conduct market research to identify emerging fashion trends
- Conceptualize and sketch new ideas, taking into account brand aesthetic, target customer, and market demands
- Utilize your expertise in fabrics, garment construction to ensure high-quality designs
- Ability to recolor prints and manipulate patterns to create a diverse range of options
- Work closely with the production team to ensure accurate execution of designs during the sampling and production stages
- QC samples and production units
- Assist on all e-com, lookbook, and campaign photoshoots
- Prepare detailed tech packs and sample documentation
- Document and manage product costs throughout the design and production process
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a senior apparel designer within the women’s contemporary fashion industry
- Proficiency in Adobe Create suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong sketching and technical drawing skills
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction, pattern-making, and fabric properties is a plus
- Ability to recolor prints and create color variations using digital design tools
- Excellent understanding of current fashion trends and the ability to forecast future trends
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for color, patten, and texture
- Effective communication and ability to articulate design concepts to overseas vendors
- A portfolio showcasing your design skills and versatility
