Paid Social Media Planner Overview

As the Media Planner, you will be responsible for managing the production and application of accurate, insightful, and culturally relevant consumer media and marketing intelligence to help contribute to the overall communications and marketing plan. You will spend time with media partners to understand their offerings in detail and will remain up to speed on all the tactics available to brands today.

In this role, you will develop, recommend, execute, and evaluate digital media plans for inception to completion with moderate oversight. You will work independently once given clear project parameters, goals, and budget information to develop sound recommendations with clear rationale. 

Paid Social Media Planner Responsibilities

· Contribute to impactful overall communications plan development to meet client needs and deliver game-changing communication ideas

· Attend regular client status meetings, creative statuses, and maintain on-going rapport

· Analyze and provide clients with high-level research data that encompasses media and marketing trends and information

· Provide communications and audience intelligence and data inputs through the application of syndicated and propriety systems for ample communication design goal setting and decision making

· Collaborate with team members to develop and manage media plans for all Digital efforts including but not limited to display, mobile, social, video, and search

· Provide partner selection recommendation and justification designed to deliver on client KPI’s using the most sophisticated use of data and analytics, via multi-faceted, strategic partnerships, while delivering maximum strategic value and efficiency

· Develop the RFPs and oversee the submission process with media partners

· Continually vet out real-time opportunities to ensure our clients are remaining competitive

· Work collaboratively to oversee all production timelines, creative development, and creative hand-off’s

· Identify and present new and emerging partners and opportunities in the marketplace

Paid Social Media Planner Qualifications

· at least 1+ years of experience in an integrated planning role within media, publisher, vendor, or communication discipline. * Must have paid social experience. 

· Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience

· Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with client, colleagues, and vendors

· Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

· Ability to effectively multi-task with multiple competing priorities and projects

· Proven time management and organizational capabilities

· Ability to work cross-functionally and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and other various outside vendors

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
