Job description
Production Manager Responsibilities:
- Attend proto, salesmen sample and pre-production fittings
- Create and manage the seasonal WIP (work in process report)
- Assist in preparing salesmen samples for proto and sales meetings
- Update information in stylemaster, purchase orders and costing as needed
- Update bulk production bill of materials page in Backbone
- Partner with Design to ensure timely execution of product development calendar
- Communicate and manage all production changes from salesmen samples to bulk production
- Communicate with licensing partners
- Assist in providing corporate office in Korea samples and information as needed
- Assist in sourcing fabrics and maintaining a seasonal fabric chart
- Ensure bulk production fabric comments are sent to mills/suppliers
- Comment and approve bulk production lab dip colors
- Maintain a up to date trim guide that gets distributed to suppliers as changes occur
- Maintain fabric & trim library, in partnership with design
Production Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven garment manufacturing and sourcing experience
- Knowledge of production, including manufacturing, product engineering, product lifecycle, calendar management, trade regulations, fabric performance and garment construction, and testing standards
- Need someone who is hands on with product, driven and process oriented.
- Experience in math and costing (ability to calculate duty rates)
- Assertive and strong follow up skills
