Job description

Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Relations Sr. Consultant to join their team. As a Public Relations Sr. Consultant, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective public relations strategies to enhance  our client's brand reputation and manage their communication initiatives.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute comprehensive public relations plans and strategies to support our client's business objectives.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, industry influencers, and stakeholders to ensure positive media coverage and brand visibility.
3. Proactively identify and capitalize on opportunities for media outreach, press releases, and media interviews to promote our client's services and achievements.
4. Serve as the primary spokesperson, responding to media inquiries and managing crisis communications effectively.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media updates.
6. Monitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends to identify potential risks and opportunities for our client's reputation.
7. Provide strategic counsel and guidance to the leadership team on public relations matters and reputation management.
8. Plan and execute media events, press conferences, and speaking engagements to enhance our client's brand presence.
9. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in public relations to continuously improve our client's communication strategies.
10. Manage and oversee the work of junior public relations team members, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, preferably in the healthcare or insurance industry.
3. Proven track record of successfully executing public relations campaigns and managing media relations.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and deliver impactful presentations.
5. Strong media relations skills, with an extensive network of media contacts and the ability to secure positive media coverage.
6. Demonstrated crisis communications experience and the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
7. Proficiency in using public relations tools and software for media monitoring, press release distribution, and analytics.
8. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
10. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
