What We Are Looking For
 
We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our client’s team. You will be a key member of the Operations department and an integral part to the ongoing success of the business overall. The business has thrived on customer loyalty, with many customers coming back month after month. Your goal is to deliver a world-class customer experience and ensure that our customers consistently receive the best quality products. You will oversee material and garment quality assurance, including inspections, testing, sample approvals, and quality-related vendor communications. Being well-versed in apparel manufacturing will enable you to troubleshoot any quality issues and partner with our manufacturers to address them. Effective verbal and written communication and the ability to work collaboratively will also be invaluable in this role as you will work closely with many teams across the business.

What You’ll Do/ Top Responsibilities (Skills)
  • Design and oversee all QA and QC procedures and systems
  • Lead a team of overseas inspectors (in-house and 3rd party) from fabric testing through ?nal inspections
  • Partner with Product Development and Supply Chain to vet and onboard new suppliers and de?ne quality standards
  • Partner with Customer Experience to analyze customer feedback and provide recommendations to better meet customer quality expectations
  • De?ne and track key quality metrics to monitor and improve supplier performance
  • Diagnose quality issues and partner with suppliers to resolve them

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Software Must Haves
  • Excel
“Must-Haves” (mandatory) for this role:
  • Technical knowledge of textile ?bers, fabrics, garment construction, and apparel
manufacturing
  • Prior experience working in quality assurance and control in the apparel industry, including managing overseas employees and/or 3rd party inspection ?rms (e.g.,
BV, Qima, SGS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with offshore manufacturing
  • Experience with apparel product development process, fabric testing
  • Functional understanding of SGS, ASTM, AATCC standards and practices.
  • Strong communication and excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to occasionally travel domestically and internationally
“Nice-to-Haves” (non-mandatory) for this role:
  • Any supply chain certi?cations (big plus!)
  • Ecomm experience/ Direct-to-Consumer experience
