SENIOR DESIGNER REEBOK ADVANCED CONCEPTS / INNOVATION Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: As a Senior Footwear Designer Reebok Advanced Concepts and Innovation (R.A.C.) you will work with the team to visualize, create, and establish the future of Reebok technologies. The Sr. Designer is responsible for the ownership and stewardship of the design process and is the point person on the project level. Together with the category head, you will maintain and nurture the design, material, and color direction collaborating with the Advanced Concepts team to form a point of view that is uniquely Reebok. You are a footwear design expert with a passion for creating products that deliver unique experiences. You possess an obsession for all things design and are delighted by the challenge of creating products with as much style as high level functional/performance benefits. You bring a can-do attitude and a stabilizing voice to the team. You are resilient in the face of change, overcoming obstacles with a team first mindset. You give form to the formless. You are a confident communicator and have an ability to externalize design direction and influence initiatives in service of brand goals. DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILTIES: • You Own the Design Process - Lead the creative development for multiple projects across categories, from concepts to prototypes, bringing your expertise and design process to create industry leading solutions. • You Demonstrate Mastery of the Product Development Process - Concepts and creative strategies are only as good as their relevance to the business objective. Your designs fulfill the objectives of category, concept, brief. You ensure consistency throughout product and ranges and know how to pick the best solutions. • Concept is Key - You actively collaborate with Product Marketing and Design teams to ensure holistic and consumer relevant storytelling that align with consumer profiles. One Brand focus. • You are a Taste Maker – Positioned at the global forefront of design trends and innovation as well as their application. • You are Detail Driven - Own every creative assignment start to finish, collaborate on cost concerns and new manufacturing methods and be able to communicate them clearly. Deliver on-time revisions, tech-packs, and distribution specific color strategies. • You contribute to the creation of annual and long-term Creative Direction meetings. • You ensure the correct execution of Corporate Identity guidelines against legal restrictions within the category. Bring new visualization and design methods to our team. Proficiency in Gravity Sketch, Grasshopper, Z-Brush, Rhino, Keyshot or other software is a plus. • A World Builder - You bring as much insight and the intention into how the footwear will be worn and by whom as you do technical know-how. • Degree in Design or equivalent combined education and experience • Solid education and advanced experience in the creative development of advanced manufacturing solutions, for both performance and fashion products and timelines. • 5-7 years of experience in Sporting Goods/Fashion Industry or Design • Strong visual and verbal skills with the ability to create impactful/exciting visuals • Passion for fitness, culture, fashion, and design Key Relationships: • Design Team and Studio members • Product Marketing • Product Development • Creative Direction, Color and Surface, and Materials teams • Brand Communications Apply for this job
