Job descriptionOur client is an ad agency seeking a skilled and experienced Social Strategist to join their team. As a Social Strategist, you will be responsible for managing social strategy and content creation across multiple social platforms. You will collaborate closely with Brand and Content Strategists, as well as the Paid Media and Creative teams, to ensure cohesive and effective social media campaigns. This position reports to the EVP of Social Media.
Location: New York, NY
** Hybrid position (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite)
Hours: 40 hour work week
Duration: Ongoing contract
- Develop comprehensive social media strategies, including audience targeting, channel selection, content creation guidelines, and brand voice.
- Create social briefs and provide clear direction to the creative teams for both organic and paid content.
- Develop and implement a monthly content calendar through strategic guidance and review.
- Deliver engaging presentations showcasing strategy, content development, and campaign results to clients as well as internal teams.
- Collaborate with the Social Coordinator to facilitate asset creation and trafficking.
- Source user-generated content (UGC) while ensuring proper approval for usage.
- Monitor organic analytics to measure campaign performance effectively.
- Conduct ad-hoc social listening activities to identify opportunities for optimization based on actionable insights/data.
- Stay up-to-date with pop culture trends, creative communities, new technologies in order to leverage them effectively in campaigns while maintaining brand integrity.
- Preferred experience within the hospitality/restaurant industry
- 4+ years as a social media strategist
- Proficiency in using social media tools such as Brandwatch or Sprout
- Excellent writing skills with strong communication abilities
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines independently
- Comfortable engaging with clients on a daily basis
- Able to maintain client relationships confidently
- Keep clients informed about project progress regularly
- Respond efficiently to client inquiries or concerns
- Proactively offer solutions or suggestions that align with client objectives
