Our client, a health and wellness company in El Segundo is looking for a Sr. Copywriting Manager to join their team!

Full time, direct hire
Hybrid in El Segundo (2/3 days on site)
MUST have people management experience as you will have two direct reports
Salary: $100-$130k (DOE)


Looking for a meticulous, detail-obsessed, and incredibly thorough candidate to join our Marketing Department. Reporting to the Marketing Director, this person will be responsible for writing, editing, and proofing creative copy. Ideal candidate understands the nuances of brand voice and the needs of business-to-consumer marketing. The Marketing Copywriter has a brain for patterns, a penchant for details, and a passion for storytelling.

Functions and duties of this role include:
• Own copy for new product and innovation launches, including developing product claims language.
• Lead refresh on brand voice and tone.
• Develop copy bible in collaboration with copy team.
• Work with marketing team to develop key campaign copy and taglines.
• Collaborate with creative and marketing team to develop scripts for advertising campaigns and video content.
• Working cross-functionally to ensure accurate content, consistency, and quality throughout all copy.
• Developing copy for ecomm, sales, partnerships, ecommerce, acquisition and social requests.
• Working with our regulatory department to ensure accurate product messaging.
• Assisting with the implementation of processes as needed to optimize copy development.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of copy experience at an agency or in-house at a CPG, wellness, or beauty brand.
• Expertise in creative copy for campaigns.
• Experience developing brand voice and tone.
• Expert in developing copy for new product and innovation launches including unique selling propositions and communicating key claims.
• Understanding of full-funnel marketing and contemporary advertising landscape.
• Strong portfolio/copy samples.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Great communicator and independent worker.
• Mastery of English language and grammar conventions across all styles.
• Proficiency in Google Suite.
• Strong marketing, branding, and design sensibility.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently.

Work Environment
• Hybrid/Office environment with flexibility for industry events. Most responsibilities of this job will be handled from the office. Travel: 10% of the time.
