Our client is searching for a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Software Engineer to join their Design Technology team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing software solutions that support design and engineering processes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge electric vehicles and shape the future of automotive design.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and product managers, to understand software requirements and develop innovative solutions.
2. Design, develop, and maintain software applications and tools that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our design and engineering processes.
3. Implement and optimize algorithms and data structures to support complex computational tasks related to vehicle design, analysis, and simulation.
4. Conduct code reviews, identify and fix software defects, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement in software development practices.
6. Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback, understand user needs, and continuously improve software functionality and usability.
7. Collaborate with other software engineers to establish best practices, code standards, and development processes.
8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience as a software engineer, with a focus on developing software applications for design technology, preferably in the automotive industry.
3. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
4. Solid understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.
5. Experience with CAD software, design automation, or simulation tools is highly desirable.
6. Familiarity with computational geometry, numerical methods, and optimization algorithms is a plus.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
9. Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
