Job Summary:As a Stock Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of the store by ensuring that products are properly stocked and organized. You will be responsible for receiving, unpacking, and organizing merchandise, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will contribute to creating an exceptional shopping experience for the customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Receive and unpack merchandise: Receive shipments of products, check for accuracy, and unpack items in a timely manner. Ensure that all merchandise is handled with care to prevent damage.
2. Stock and replenish shelves: Organize and stock shelves with beauty products, ensuring that they are properly labeled and displayed. Monitor inventory levels and promptly replenish products as needed.
3. Maintain inventory accuracy: Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory management processes. Report any discrepancies or issues to the management team.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization: Keep the stockroom clean and organized at all times. Follow safety protocols and ensure that all products are stored in the appropriate areas.
5. Assist with product transfers: Collaborate with other store locations to facilitate the transfer of products as needed. Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of transferred items.
6. Assist with customer inquiries: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries and locating specific items. Direct customers to the appropriate areas of the store if necessary.
7. Collaborate with the sales team: Work closely with the sales team to ensure that products are readily available for customer purchase. Communicate any stock-related issues or concerns to the sales team and management.
8. Adhere to company policies and procedures: Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, and inventory control. Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in retail or stockroom operations is preferred
- Knowledge of beauty and cosmetic products is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods
