We are seeking a highly organized and creative individual to join our client’s team as a Visual Merchandising Assistant Manager. As a luxury skincare brand inspired by timeless Japanese beauty rituals, our client is dedicated to creating products that promote healthy and radiant skin.
As the Visual Merchandising Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of our retail spaces and ensuring that our brand image is consistently represented. You will work closely with the Visual Merchandising Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create visually captivating displays that effectively communicate the brand’s story and engage customers.
1. Visual Merchandising Strategy:
- Assist in developing and executing the visual merchandising strategy to enhance the overall brand experience in retail stores, including flagship locations, pop-up shops, and department store counters.
- Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising Manager to ensure that all visual merchandising initiatives align with the brand's guidelines and objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor analysis to continuously improve visual merchandising techniques.
2. Store Layout and Design:
- Work closely with store managers and regional teams to optimize store layouts and create visually appealing displays that maximize product visibility and drive sales.
- Develop planograms and guidelines for product placement, signage, and fixture arrangements to ensure consistency across all stores.
- Assist in the selection and procurement of visual merchandising props, fixtures, and materials.
3. Visual Merchandising Execution:
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of visual merchandising initiatives, ensuring that all displays are set up accurately and in a timely manner.
- Train and educate store staff on visual merchandising standards and guidelines to maintain brand consistency.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess visual merchandising compliance and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
4. Visual Merchandising Communication:
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop visual merchandising guidelines and materials for new product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment with retail teams, providing them with necessary visual merchandising tools and updates.
- Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in visual merchandising, preferably in the retail or beauty industry.
- Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to translate brand messaging into visually appealing displays.
- Knowledge of current visual merchandising trends, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, to create visual merchandising materials.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including store managers, marketing, and creative teams.
- Knowledge of retail store layouts and visual merchandising principles to optimize product placement and maximize sales.
- Understanding of consumer behavior and the ability to create visually engaging displays that drive customer engagement and sales.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and evolving retail environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey visual merchandising concepts and guidelines to store staff.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in visual merchandising is a plus.
