Job description

Our client, an iconic fashion brand, is seeking an Allocator to joing their team onsite in Gardena, CA. As the Allocator, you will carry out allocation and replenishment functions under the direction of the Allocation Manager in order to achieve sales, margin, and inventory goals.

The Role:

  • Run replenishment as business rules dictate – analyze numbers and determine replenishment methodology to be used by category and item (e.g. WOS vs. just replenishment to minimums and also using stores indices)
  • Maintain store models by style/color/size for all current season items. Manage list of items on replenishment vs. off depending on each item’s stage in product life cycle in stores. 
  • Carry out initial allocations - analyze class and product group performance by store, factor in store sales curves, over-stock/under-stock situations, and customize size profile for each store.
  • New store inventory set up – develop the initial plan by category with direction from the Planning team, allocate/build inventory, monitor actual inventory relative to targets, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure stores open with optimal assortment.
  • Balance store inventories, initiate transfers/consolidations to maximize regular price sell-through.
  • Review Ecommerce allocation opportunities, independent of brick & mortar stores.
  • Recap and publish transfer compliance to the field.  
  • Size Analysis by store by program to maximize inventory productivity.
  • Analyze opportunity for sales growth through profile-specific buys and tiering possibilities.
  • Communicate with stores to help them maximize their business. Review, analyze and respond to product requests from stores. 
  • Assist in running weekly reports and carrying out special projects.

Required Minimum Experience:

  • 1-2 years experience in running ad hoc reports and analysis in Excel.
  • Strong math and Excel skills, advanced skill.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Four year degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year allocation experience in a fast-paced 50+ store retail company
