Assistant Product Manager

Assistant Product Manager Overview:

Lead bi-weekly release management process by performing regular site testing/usability analysis and reporting and support vendor integrations/maintenance.

The Assistant Product Manager is responsible for supporting the Product Manager in ensuring the health and optimization of website by prioritizing product needs and working closely with internal & external parties to ensure site performance and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Assistant Product Manager Responsibilities:

• Bi-weekly site build release management
o Manage JIRA ticket documentation & submission for bugs and site enhancements
o Maintain frequent monitoring of submitted tickets and respond to questions; oversee change in status, testing, and approval
o Support weekly assignment of priority for tickets to resources and provide visibility to stakeholders on status
o Act as business lead for site release testing activities, provide feedback on open issues and recommended solutions to keep build on track in partnership with UAT team, Digital IT and Product Manager
• Vendor integrations & management
o Assist in 3rd party service integrations to identify issues and areas of opportunity for optimization.
o Work closely with assigned vendors to establish and maintain good working relationships

• Analytics & reporting
o Develop reporting standards for key areas of the site (e.g., login/register, checkout funnels, and 3rd party integrations) to evaluate areas of opportunity to optimize experience
• Site testing & usability
o Support E-Commerce team with QA process for promotions at the daily, weekly, monthly level. Where applicable, establish steps & checkpoints for specific promotion types (e.g., flash sales) to ensure appropriate testing is occurring
o Support Product Manager in conducting focus groups and usability sessions to gain customer insight for improvement of existing features and/or development of new features
• Enhancement rollout
o Assist Product Manager in end-to-end project scoping for assigned projects, from discovery phase through to development rollout
o Partner with Product Manager, E-Commerce leadership, Digital IT and external development teams and/or 3rd party vendors to develop solutions
o Work with internal teams to communicate solutions throughout the organization and to customer base

Assistant Product Manager Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in B2B or B2C e-Commerce required
o Product management experience in e-Commerce or technology field preferred
• Highly organized, detail oriented and deadline driven
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide clear, detailed direction
• Excellent project management skills
• Comfortable learning new technology applications
• Proficient using web analytical tools (Coremetrics, Omniture or Google Analytics). Familiarity with eCommerce applications and software. Knowledge of Demandware/SalesForce Commerce Cloud and/or JIRA a plus
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS or Javascript a plus
• Passionate about digital media and knowledgeable about the latest e-Commerce trends, technologies, and platforms
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related fields preferred
• Occasional travel may be required
