Client Overview:

We’re looking for a Brand Strategy Manager, to act as the voice of our brand and help us deepen our relationships with internal teams to drive the next wave of our brand evolution. In this role, you will work closely and collaboratively with the larger marketing, product, M&A and go-to-market teams on naming and brand integrations. The Brand Strategy Manager supports the Director of Architecture and Naming as they will consult and recommend brand strategy for M&As and new naming projects. You will be a key player in protecting and growing our brand.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Passionate about building brands and demonstrates depth in writing and naming that creates an emotional connection with the brand while enhancing and clarifying the product functionality

• Lead the day-to-day naming requests start to finish including brainstorming workshops, ideation of naming options and final naming recommendations

• Expertise in naming and familiar with name types (descriptive vs suggestive) and an understanding of naming conventions

• Manage project plans, communicate brand strategy across teams

• Constantly help to contextualize our brand architecture, naming systems, brand integrations and standards within the broader context of our portfolio

•Implement brand integration playbook for M&A activities and help operationalize our M&A brand strategy

• Determine how a new brand or product expands the brand

• Partner with Insights and GTM teams to sharpen value propositions and positioning

• Aggregate all naming project tracking and summarize brand naming workstreams

• Build out and continuously improve brand naming and integration capabilities by identifying and developing process improvements, best practices, and tools to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the team

• Be able to flex between B2B and B2C projects Experience and Skills (the what)

• 5+ years Brand Marketing, Brand Strategy or M&A  experience

• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization and building

• influential and collaborative relationships

• Passion for educating cross functional teams

• High attention to detail, cares about the last mile

• Strong influencing and interpersonal skills

• Able to work across various business functions and stakeholders at every level

• Flexibility and resilience in an often-changing environment
