Job description

We are looking for a copywriter with apparel, beauty, accessories, footwear or handbag experience. 

In this role you will be responsible for the world of all brand copywriting. Responsible for developing digital, social, marketing and product copy for customer experiences and channels that reflect the brand’s fashion sensibility, personality, tone, voice and positioning.  You will work closely with the visual, marketing, design, and direct to consumer teams to make sure your efforts, align with overarching business strategy, and perform effectively. 

What you will be doing:
•    Write clear, persuasive and on-brand copy for all brand needs. This includes consumer facing and internal B2B facing materials. 
•    Take the existing voice standards for the organization and further develop and uphold the voice of the brand – across all marketing touch points. Innovate ways to engage our audience and build our brand through words.
•    With greatest attention to the ecommerce site: 
-  Write irresistible must-open subject lines, powerful CTAs, clever headlines, and meticulously crafted marketing and ad copy—proven by motivating customers to purchase and engage with the brand.
-  Write informational and functional site copy for the website. 
-  Generate non-product copy for other areas of the website (editorial, philanthropy, about, etc.)
-  Write product video/ content scripts and ideates on topics
-  Implement A/B testing strategies and learnings as it relates specifically to copy across  all marketing efforts
-  Report on the performance of copy tests across all marketing channels 
•    Contribute on-brand ideas for campaigns, catalogs and other messaging:
-  Work with social media team to develop copy and content including blog posts.
-  Engage with agency and internal team to develop copy for all product/seasonal launches – includes marketing campaigns, concept, headline and product copy
-  Write brand press releases and PR pitches working in conjunction with the PR/Marketing teams
•    Proofread/Edit materials for direct to consumer, merchandising, and marketing to develop brand experiences.
•    Stay abreast of trends in the marketplace, and within the style world in general to write relevant content.
•    Supports and suggest improvements and efficiencies to process and content management systems where copy is published
•    Meet all deadlines on time
•    Performs other responsibilities as required

What you need to have:
•    Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, advertising, marketing, English.
•    Diverse book/portfolio of work with 2-4 years of copywriting experience
•    Strong copywriting, grammatical and communications skills.
•    Strong conceptual skills with knowledge of how copy relates to design, graphics and concept inspiration.
•    Excellent communication and problem solving skills
•    Background in fashion/lifestyle ecommerce/editorial; extensive working knowledge of current trends and language fashion world. Passion for handbags, craftsmanship a strong plus.
•    Proven attention to detail, time management skills, and strong organizational skills with the ability to adhere to deadlines
•    Ability to work well cross-functionally and collaboratively as a team player and self-starter
•    Ability to work independently as well as partner with others (cross-functionally and within a team) to collaborate
•    Ability to execute off a brief from creative concept to finish 
•    Ability to multi-task and prioritize with strong organizational skills 
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment 
•    Experience with database tools and knowledge of Internet technology.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
