24 Seven is partnering with our lifestyle clothing/footwear client based in Santa Barbara, CA to find them a Product Copywriter to join their team in this full-time, salaried position. This is a great opportunity to develop your writing skills under the retail umbrella. Ideal candidate will be located along the West Coast. Brief details are below.

Experience writing product, product descriptions, product naming, product color naming, features, and benefits. 

Job Description:
-   The Product Copywriter, Brand Communications works with the copy team, and cross-departmental partners to complete and create all product communications, both internal and consumer-facing, and oversees the full product lifecycle as it pertains to copy and storytelling for product. 
-  They are a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who develops strategies around how we speak to specific products/collections and why, working with partnered teams to align with cross-functional objectives.
-   They will also be a skilled editor/proofreader with an eye for details (from punctuation to grammar to product naming conventions to DEI implications), working at every turn to position the brand as a sophisticated, intelligent, consistent, and socially responsible brand.
-   Highly collaborative individuals who love and seek out valuable feedback will succeed in this role.
-   This is a remote position, but the candidate should be based along the West Coast. There will be opportunities to connect in person and candidates should be willing to meet on an irregular basis in person for team meetings, brainstorms, and other top-level moments of contact. 

Responsibilites:
-    Name all key products, prints, colors, and collections ahead of season in conjunction with Legal, Product Marketing, PR, and PLM teams.
-    Work ahead of season with cross-functional partners (e.g., Design, Development PLMs, Product Marketing, PR) to create seasonal narratives and sell-in materials (e.g. catalogs, look books, product marketing decks, wholesale account pitches) for all key styles.
-    Work in-season with cross-functional partners (e.g., Omni, Merchandising, UX) to develop/execute storytelling and consumer journey for key product launches.

Other Everyday Responsibilities:
-    Write and edit PDP copy. Manage freelance product description writer, providing all necessary materials and feedback to keep communications in line with brand expectations/conventions.
-    Contribute to CSR communications, especially those related to materials and innovations, and vet said materials with Legal partners.
-    Write and edit brand directives and toolkits, tracking changes along the directive and GTM processes and updating copy accordingly.
-    Proof and edit image glossaries and other brand materials.

Qualifications:
-    Have examples of previous consumer product description work, including product descriptions, product naming, color naming.
-    Works collaboratively and cross-functionally with leaders and peers.
-    Quickly absorbs and applies feedback and constructive criticism.
-    7+ years product copywriting experience.
-    Strategic, big-picture thinker with an innate ability to ideate.
-    Proven record of accomplishment of repositioning a major fashion brand.
-    Works well under pressure and can tackle tight deadlines when necessary.
