Our Client is a beauty industry manufacturer in LA (San Fernando Valley area) and are searching for a strong Product Development Manager. 

Role Objective
The Product Development Manager is responsible for targeted product development and customized marketing materials for an assigned group of clients and prospective clients, in conjunction with the Director of Sales.  This role is critical to the successful launch of new products for our clients, requiring a strong team player capable of juggling many tasks simultaneously who works well under the pressure of constantly shifting priorities and tight timelines.

What You’ll Do
•   Contribute to and help drive sales KPIs with account management team
•   Manages Sales samples, marketing materials, trend input for all client sales meetings
•   Assists with tradeshow preparations and attend all tradeshows
•   Work with R&D on formula development for all PDRs – base approval then shade matching
•   Prepare marketing sheets to accompany all first submissions
•   Manage all key timeline dates from product brief through PO
•   Establish and attend or lead weekly calls with each client
•   Create a timeline for each project, then update weekly and review with client during weekly call
•   Create and maintain detailed project trackers for all open development
•   Prepare preliminary price quotes
•   Work with Regulatory on ILs, QQs and other necessary documents for product registration 
•   Coordinate with Quality and R&D to obtain fill weights, press levels and masters for client approval
•   Participate in or manage client onsite visits for new development, redirects or approvals
•    Manage Sales Director meeting preparation – sales samples, marketing materials, preliminary pricing
•   Assist Creative Director with tradeshow preparation, attend all tradeshows

Who You Are

•   Strong interest in, and passion for, the beauty industry and color cosmetics
•    Highly organized and works well in a fast-paced environment, able to handle multiple projects at once

•   Experience in product development and project or account management
•   Proficiency in Excel, preparing and maintaining project timelines and trackers

Experience You Bring
•   Bachelor’s degree required
•   5+ ears of product development experience in the beauty, cosmetics or personal care industry
