Retail Manager 

We are looking for an experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of

our Westport Flagship store. You will be the one to ensure the smooth running of

operations to maximize sales and minimize costs.

Our Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience as a luxury store manager and knowledge of

diverse business subjects such as sales, marketing, etc. Understands and has a

passion for art, home, and fashion. Able to work as part of a very passionate team and

do things that are best for the company first. Adapt to a brand voice and vision. An

effective retail manager will also be able to motivate personnel to perform according

to their maximum capacity.

The goal is to manage our store in ways that boost revenues and develop the

business while being a true reflection of the  Brand.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel

  •  Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance

  •  Prepare and control the store"s budget aiming for minimum expenditure and

efficiency

  •  Monitor stock levels and replenishment

  •  Oversee customer service to maintain the store"s stellar reputation

  •  Plan and oversee in-store promotional events

  •  Keep the shop fresh by merchandising the floor sets weekly.

  •  Analyze sales and revenue reports and make forecasts

  •  Ensure the store follows all legal health and safety guidelines

  •  Make the magic- if people aren’t walking in the door, the sales still need to keep

coming in.

  •  Proven ability to devise sales strategies to bring in new customers.

  •  Deep understanding of retail metrics and how to improve them like conversion

rate, etc.

  •  Experience in learning about store products and understanding their fabrication.

  •  Calculate and improve sales per square foot

  •  Measure and increase ATV and UPT

  •  Measure and improve customer retention rates

  •  Measure Foot traffic

  • Increase Inventory turnover ratio

  • Work closely with the management team on seasonal buys

  • Conduct training for all sales associates working closely with the design and production

team to obtain product knowledge to drive UPT and offer a superior customer experience.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Knowledge of retail management best practices

  • Proven managerial position in other luxury retail specialty store environments

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Excellent organizing and leadership skills

  • Commercial awareness

  • Analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis principles

  • Organized process for clienteling both local and via ecomm.

  • Relentless work ethic, this is not a 9 - 5 job, this is a career and we don’t stop until

we get the job done.

  • Work at least one weekend day every week. Excellent knowledge of retail

  • management software (e.g. MS RMS), Shopify, Excel, Word.

  • BS/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field; MSc/MA is desirable.
