Sr. Buying Manager
Our client is a luxury high end retailer seeking a Sr, Buying Manager to manage the Men's team. 
Sr. Buying Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develops the buying strategy for their given category every market session to clearly outline the vision of the buy.  Presents collection to Executive Team and Retail Boutique Directors, ensuring comprehensive understanding of the offer and guiding selections to ensure optimal product mix
  •  Writes pre-buys using input of store Retail Directors on top investments
  • Participates in walk-throughs of the buy for store Retail Directors, providing guidance on top investments and collecting feedback on specific store market needs
  • Writes final buy taking in all store feedback, market trends, and historical selling trends into account o Analyzes and recaps the final buy after each market, presenting top investments, opportunities and risks to the VP of Buying and Planning, SVP of Stores, and President of the Americas
  •  Monitors industry trends and evaluates competition through store and market visits.
  •  Participates in the budget and open to buy forecasting process to help achieve maximum sales potential.
  •  Builds buying process and tools that are scalable and relevant to the category of business and channel of distribution.
  •  Partners closely with planning in analyzing weekly selling reports, seasonal hindsight recaps, and ad hoc reports to drive assortment decisions.
  • Manage ST% of seasonal product by forecasting total ST as well as style by style ST and identifying opportunities + risks accordingly.
  • Analyze sales trends and use learnings to identify product opportunities – transfers, reorders, etc - trends, and offerings which will impact the business and provide results • Ensure proper management of the category (i.e. deliveries, ST, business needs) through consistent communication and follow-up with Paris office and communicating these issues to Merchandising & Planning team.
  • Manages development of Buyer, Men’s Leather goods & Accessories.
  • Travel to Paris 2-4 times a year, with seasonal domestic store travel
Sr. Buying Manager Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising or related field required
  •  6+ years of experience in Buying, Planning, or similar role, buying experience in Men's shoes/fashion is preferred
  • Proficient in all of Microsoft Office/Suite and experienced with excel formulas
  • Ideal candidate has work experience in medium sized multinational company or luxury business • Additional language fluency is a plus
