We’re seeking a writer who’s passionate about advancing the state of listening experiences. This UX Writer will work with a nimble team that’s building the features and future of the Podcasts app, exploring ways to develop an interface that serves the needs of users and creators. Under the tutelage of our UX Writer for Music, this person will be embedded in the Podcasts team.

Responsibilities include:
• Shaping the language, tone, and design system for the Podcasts app
• Working on feature development naming, and education
• Contributing to and implementing style guides and shared nomenclature across services
• Coalescing customer goals, business requirements, technical constraints, and brand values
• Boiling down complex systems into coherent, concise, and compelling copy
• Collaborating with other designers to uncover and solve UI challenges
• Joining forces with the Product team to address feedback, contribute ideas, and improve performance of our content
• Collaborating with the Ops and Customer Support teams to share information about any upcoming projects and ensure consistency
• Working with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure ideas are expressed appropriately
• Thinking internationally to address the needs of listeners and creators in growing markets

• Can write from scratch, edit existing copy, and think beyond the written word with input from multiple stakeholders
• Thinks long-term, but act quickly
• Understands the boundaries of projects, and then pushes them
• Spends time with QA, Legal, and Localization teams to ensure your content appears properly all over the world
• Likes dreaming about affecting the lives of millions of people, and waking up to the responsibilities that come with that
• Is comfortable working with iOS, MacOS, Quip, Numbers, Pages, and Sketch
• Knows how to work with — and influence — wireframes and functional specs
• Possess 5+ years experience working with UX copy or other forms of interactive writing
• Has an inexhaustible attention to detail
• Is passionate about the brand, its products, its values, and its relationship with customers
• Is comfortable managing several projects simultaneously
