Job description
We are seeking a lead artist to work for a niche makeup brand stocked in a luxury beauty retailer. The position of the Lead Artist reports to the brand counter manager and is responsible for the following responsibilities:
Sales/Operational:
Achieve and over-achieving sales targets
Analyse KPI’s and sales achieved with the counter manager, being proactive to execute strategies to increase sales
Support and lean in-store events and trainings
Lead/educate temporary staff members in case promotional spaces/locations out of the permanent counter
Suggest ideas to continuously catch potential passing customers and/or drive them to the counter
Liase with the counter manager to ensure both expectations of the brand and retailer are met
Carry out impactful events in store that meet the brand and retailers standards
Partner with stores on merchandising and inventory to make sure the brand is represented at the highest level and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
Manage and timely return any calls, emails and communication from both retail and the brand
Education & Artistry:
Display a superior level of makeup artistry skills with the ability to teach and motivate team members
Ability to perform makeup applications that align with the brands services and to lead clients masterclasses at the counter
Work alongside counter management, education manager and brand artists to cascade brand expertise and develop personal artistry and sales skills
Assist clients with product knowledge, makeup application and purchases with the brand in store
Provide exceptional service at all times to clients; internally and externally
Observe, analyse and feedback training needs
Create training sheets based on needs, with the validation of the education manager
Has the ability to create face charts in line with the retailer’s needs, in line with the validation from the education manager
Maintain a pristine level of hygiene in store in line with the brand and retailers standards
Be a role model for the brands image
Qualifications:
10+ years relevant experience in sales, Makeup artistry and Education
Retail experience is required
High level of conversion rate and high volume tickets
Outstanding artistry skills with the ability to connect to sales
Makeup portfolio if work is required
Sales tracking record
Available to work any day of the week, including weekends (Morning, middle and late shifts)
Demonstrating agility and able to work in a faced-paced, client centric environment
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written, groups presentation
Able to interact with all levels of management and work collaboratively and build positive/effective relationships with internal/external clients
Needs to be fluent in English, other languages is a plus
Proficient in PPT, Word, Edexcel – Google drive preferred
Must be able to Speak Mandarin
