Job description


The Content Marketing Manager will report to the Vice President, Brand Strategy & Storytelling. This is a great opportunity to work in a fun, collaborative, vibrant environment with a great team of marketing professionals from around the world.


•            Synthesise business goals, marketing and campaign plans with audience insights, personas, keyword research, messaging themes, campaign plans, competitive information and content performance analytics to build and maintain a content marketing strategy and editorial calendar, as well as related content

•            Create a steady stream of primary and derivative assets that can be leveraged across various channels and use cases — for example, a research report complemented by an infographic, blog post, podcast and video

•            Write, review, edit and improve content, including blogs, video/podcast scripts and other long-form content used in support of content marketing and general marketing activities – including HxGN LIVE Global, a digital solution conference

•            Author campaign-related content, including activation content that promotes content assets, including landing pages, email nurtures, social promotional blocks and banner text

•            Interview SMEs and other stakeholders or sources whose input should be reflected in content; identify, articulate and obtain closure on any conflicting information and/or other anomalies in input

•            Engage and collaborate across functions and with divisional marketing teams as needed to support strategy creation, content ideation, creation, activation and measurement requirements

•            Create, manage and oversee the content creation and management process, as well as related MarTech solutions

•            Identify potential stories for media pitches as aligned to overarching marketing goals in collaboration with an external agency. Work with agency to tailor/augment content as needed and monitor and report on results

•            Manage meetings, workflows and deadlines associated with content marketing activities

•            Contribute to search engine optimisation (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) initiatives with an understanding of how to integrate keyword strategy into overall content planning for programs and campaigns

•            Implement, support and evangelise content marketing best practices and manage related guidelines and governance

•            Collaborate with marketing program owners, content strategists and/or campaign managers to integrate and repurpose content marketing and campaign content where appropriate

•            Collect, analyse and report on content marketing success via content marketing KPIs to inform and optimise ongoing efforts



•            Ability to develop and document content marketing strategy plans and effectively communicate them to leaders and stakeholders

•            Comfort selling content marketing vision and results to executive leadership  

•            Excellent writing and editing skills

•            Adept, journalistic storytelling abilities; understanding of how to craft engaging content and craft messages specifically tailored to the asset type and target audience

•            Creativity and innovation; ability to develop memorable narratives and see the “story” in the information

•            Track record of quickly learning and applying new business domain knowledge to content strategy and asset creation  

•            Ability to understand, digest and distill complex concepts for mass consumption via engaging content  

•            Impeccable grammar, spelling and punctuation skills — AP style knowledge a plus, as well as familiarity with British English for global business communications

•            Excellent research and interviewing skills  

•            Sensibility for design and video/multimedia

•            Keyword research skills and basic technical SEO knowledge  

•            Competence in tagging and linking content for SEO  

•            Hands-on knowledge of content marketing platforms and tools   

•            Familiarity with web content management systems and content operations platforms

•            Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines  

•            Strong project management skills and experience working in project management software 

•            Excellent problem-solving abilities

•            Strong analytical skills to measure, manage, analyse and report on KPIs with the business acumen to make recommendations

•            Demonstrated collaboration and consensus-building skills

•            Excellent communication abilities, including keen listening skills  

•            Ability to quickly learn and understand new concepts, tools and markets

•            BA in English, journalism, marketing, liberal arts, media or communications

•            8-10 years’ related experience (e.g., publishing, editorial, journalism, content marketing, copywriting, digital marketing)

•            Specifically, must have experience in content marketing

•            Corporate and B2B experience is a plus
