Job description

Our client, a well known brand, is looking for an ecommerce merchandiser to support their team. This is a small team , and the role does require experience in buying, merchandising and Licensing. 


This is a freelance role, 6 months with possible extension.
40 hrs a week
Hybrid, Los Angeles
Mid - Sr Level role -- ideal candidates have more than 4 years experience
Pay is 40-60/hr

Ideal candidates have experience in Buying (ideally womans, kids), Merchandising and have experience in Licensing.

Key Responsibilities
? Develop and manage a robust pipeline of consumer products, including but not limited to women’s & kid's fashion, accessories, houseware, toys, arts & crafts, home & office, etc., from relevant brands, artists, designers, distributors, licensees, and personalities
? Partner closely with Licensing teams to leverage licensees for product creation and sign new partners.
? Leverage an extensive professional network to build a culturally diverse roster of brand partners, collaborations, and product initiatives
? Secure the suitable product types and quantities to optimize sales
? Work in tandem with the Merchandising Management group to track and coordinate product, marketing assets, and cross-promotional synergies with partners
? Provide insights to optimize selling through various channels (social commerce, marketplace, DTC, live streaming, etc.)
? Support teams Quickstrike efforts with all product needs
? Support teams Print on Demand initiatives
? Provide administrative support to our small ecommerce team
What we need from you:
? Demonstrated 5+ years of experience in product merchandising role within ecommerce at a reputable brand
? Bachelor’s or advanced degree (preferred)
? Passion for products, curation, and storytelling
? Strong analytical skills
? Experience in line planning, price point setting, and product life cycle management
? Robust contacts and network of stakeholders across the licensing landscape
