Our client, a wellness company, is looking for an experienced HR Manager to join their team!

In this role you will work collaboratively with the Director of People to make a difference in the health and wellness space!

This role is 100% onsite in Marina del Rey
Salary- Up to $110K DOE

What You Will Do:
  • Responsible for the administrative portions of the employee life cycle from onboarding through offboarding; maintain HR systems and processes
  • Conduct new hire orientations and lead new hire integration activities
  • Drive benefits and open enrollment process; serve as a benefits point-of-contact by responding to questions and educating employees on company benefit programs; work closely with insurance broker to benefits process runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Coordinate the offboarding process including exit interviews, notifying payroll, offboarding benefits and working with IT to close accounts
  • Manage leaves of absence, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL and workers compensation
  • First point of contact for employee related matters
  • Manage various HR processes, including classification changes, salary reviews, performance reviews, etc
  • Manage the recruitment process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures, in line with corporate governance practices and local legal compliance
  • Be a brand/company evangelist; make the company mission an internal/cultural reality while proactively managing the company’s desirability in the marketplace

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 5 years of hands-on mid-level HR management experience
  •  Experience creating HR systems for environments ranging for small-midsize companies; leverage data to influence tech stack and people programming recommendations to help improve processes to enable the organization to scale ? People oriented and results driven
  •  Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  •  In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
