Job description24 Seven is teaming up with a well-known company based in Phoenix, AZ to help them find a Payroll Accountant to join their team in this hybrid role. This is a 40/hr week, 15 month contract with potential to extend. While on contract you'd qualify for benefits and more.
You will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in payroll software will be crucial in maintaining precise financial records.
- Execute accurate and timely processing of payroll
- Stay ahead of federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records. Prepare reports for management and government agencies as required.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll processes.
- Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll and provide necessary documentation and information
- Utilize payroll software and other tools efficiently
- Communicate effectively with employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of Payroll Accountant experience, with a strong understanding of payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
