Job Description:This person will be supporting the Director of Tech Design by taking notes during fittings and process comments, then managing the tech pack through final prototype with the guidance of Director – Dir of tech design will be leading fittings. Designers will start the tech packs. Open on categories – Multiple categories: Denim, Sweaters Woven, Loungewear Leather; $100-$600 price point. Contemporary
As a Technical designer, you will: Drive the construction of denim, knits, and/or wovens category products
As a Technical Designer you will:
? Drive the construction of denim, knits, and/or wovens category products; primarily DENIM
? Establish women’s ?t blocks as needed
? Help manage the internal brand initiatives to non-product teams
? Manage ?ttings and partner with ?t models to properly execute the design vision for ?t
and function
? Manage vendor communication through tech packs, and ?t comments
? Manage calendars to ensure critical milestones are hit with cross-functional teams
? Maintain proper ?t throughout the development process by providing vendors with
detailed image-driven ?t corrections
? Partner with design and development to ensure the proper selection of blocks and grade
rules
? Provide technical expertise to internal and external partners
Your Experience and Skills include:
? 4+ years experience required in technical design
? Must have extensive experience in at least one of the following categories: denim, soft
wovens, structured wovens, and knits.
? Pro?cient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
? Pro?cient in building BOM’s and technical packages
? Ability to interpret design intent and o?er alternative solutions
? Must be self-motivated and have the ability to see creative vision through, from inception
to completion.
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? Nimble, scrappy and adaptable. Can roll with the punches and thrive in a fast-paced,
early-stage startup environment
