Our client, a growing agency, is looking for a Strategist to join their team

Full-Time Position / Direct hire
Irvine, CA. Onsite FIVE days

As a Strategist, you are a fact-finder, question-asker and storyteller. You blend strategic thinking, out-of-the-box ideas, and creativity to produce effective strategies that move clients forward. Focus on developing core insights rooted in data will be key in this role. Through consumer and market research, creative briefs, go-to-market strategies, messaging frameworks, and other Strategy deliverables, you will play a key role in driving ideas and setting the stage for impactful creatives.

Strategy is about contributing daily to creative work that makes a difference. By partnering with resources across departments and throughout the agency, Strategy plays a critical role in creating, developing and executing creative ideas. We search, find, analyze, second-guess and turn information into unexpected insights for our clients and our teams. It’s not just about delivering creative briefs and disappearing – Strategy’s job is to take ownership of ideas as much as anyone else in the agency to ensure they are sound and will have an impact.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data, industry best practices, trends, and audience learnings to inform the development of creative briefs and strategic plans.
    • Conduct primary & secondary research including key stakeholder interviews, focus groups, IDIs, and desk research to craft strategic, client-facing recommendations.
    • Develop competitive audits, content audits, audience personas, brand identity evaluations, and any other strategic deliverables that aid in creating the final recommendation.
    • Develop compelling brand & product marketing strategies across B2B and B2C clients, including comprehensive go-to-market strategies rooted in data.
  • Write creative briefs that include overall strategy, positioning, messaging, and a
  • single-minded proposition that provide clear strategic direction to our creative teams.
    • Develop and present client presentations in which findings are clear, strategic, and actionable.
    • Take ownership of assigned projects, consistently adding value and delivering on time and within budget.
    • Collaborate across all internal departments to ensure strategic recommendations are infused throughout projects.
    • Monitor cultural and social trends that affect our clients’ businesses, including audience preferences and competitors’ activities.
    • Follow up on campaign performance and proactively provide recommendations for iterative improvements that accomplish marketing success metrics.
    • Work in an accelerated concept and design process by supporting the Associate Director of Strategy with business development opportunities and pitches.
  • Maintain status and meeting notes on assigned projects. Report high-level progress to the
  • Associate Director of Strategy on a weekly basis.
    • Support the Associate Director of Strategy with various strategic tasks as you may be assigned.
