Assistant Handbag Designer Responsibilities:
- Execute design techs after review with designer
- Create photo tech packs
- Create CADs and tech packs for novelty faces with direction from designer or senior design director
- CAD entire line for sign-off and placement for factories
- Create sample ticket based on CADs
- Help to unpack boxes
- Drop off samples and packages to the mailroom
- Maintain handbag order on shelves and design area and production
- Review all PP and TOP sample comments and send to factory
- Keep comment library up to date
- Track all incoming PP and TOP packages
- Review all PP and TOP samples with Designer and DD for comments to execute
Assistant Handbag Designer Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years’ accessory design and development experience.
- Exceptional sense of style, fabric, seasonal, color and technical knowledge
- Creative and innovative design and conceptualization ability
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and with vendors
- Capacity to anticipate change based on events and adapt quickly
