Job description

ASSISTANT MERCHANDISER

Assitant Merchandiser Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the development and production of apparel
  • Maintain development and production calendars and deadlines
  • Create, maintain, and mange WIP sheets and meetings
  • Work closely with in-country Merchandising/QC Teams throughout development and production processes
  • Enter, update, and log purchase orders
  • Basic understanding of Tech Packs and BOM information
  • Sample management: request, track, and organize all samples
  • Review lab dips and mange approval process
  • Read and understand customer manuals and requirements
  • Basic fabric knowledge is required
  • Understand the customer:  research product assortments, pricing, and sourcing matrix to provide competitive analysis  
  • Interface with all cross-functional areas of the business to foster successful workflow
Assistant Merchandiser Key Qualifications:
  • Strong Problem solving skills and critical thinking
  • Must be detail oriented, extremely organized, able to manage priorities/time management
  • Manage packages: sending and receiving
  • Excel/Microsoft office proficiency
  • Must be fluent in English and preferable Spanish
  • 4-year fashion/retail degree preferred
  • Required to work on site in Miami office
