Associate Designer (Boys)Client Overview:
Our client is an iconic fashion brand creating the latest in children's apparel. With their innovative, on-trend, and creative designs they are industry leaders in the fashion space.
*This is a hybrid position: 4 days onsite, 1 day wfh in NYC
Pay: $65k-75k DOE
Associate Designer (Boys) Overview:
As an Associate Designer, you will support the Design team on all aspects of the product lifecycle from concept to final development. The Associate Designer collaborates with senior designers to create and refine clothing concepts, sketches, and technical drawings. You will also research fashion trends, select materials, and assist in developing samples to ensure the final products align with brand standards.
Associate Designer (Boys) Responsibilities:
· Provide administrative support from concept to design to final development
· Assist with the management of cross-functional communication between merchants, production, technical design, and external vendors
· Collaborate with other teams internally
· Preparation of presentation boards for seasonal/milestone meetings
· Research concepts, create sketches, prototypes and artwork throughout the concept development phase
· Assisting in all aspects of design process as needed
Associate Designer (Boys) Key Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion, Design or related area
· 2-4 years of experience in Design- Must have prior kids experience
· Understanding of customer preferences on fashion and style trends
· Strong sketching skills, color sense, and fabric knowledge
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel and PLM
