Job description

Our client, An employee owned media trading firm is looking to hire an Associate Media Director. The Associate Media Director (AMD) role is both a leader and a manager acting as the day-to-day liaison between clients and internal and external Agency partners.
They will lead digital media strategy, development and execution across the company's portfolio of clients, while at the same time managing media vendor investments and a high caliber staff.

Associate Media Director Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the execution of digital plans and buys based on accurate interpretation of media research and client priorities

• Demonstrate an understanding of client business needs and push the envelope

• Create timely and compelling buy/post buy reports and presentations

• Lead and manage digital media buying activities and assigned staff across the company's portfolio of clients including, but not limited to streaming audio, OTT, display, programmatic and social

• Act as a mentor, investing time and energy in the career growth of junior team members including setting career goals and conducting performance reviews

• Manage team workload, ensuring client KPIs, deadlines and expectations are met

• Set frequent and consistent touchpoints with senior management to report on team performance and financial goals

• Coordinate with senior management and internal Agency teams to share industry insights on pricing trends, research, campaign learnings, case studies and shifts in digital advertising

• Accurately project costs and anticipate financial results of media buys

Associate Media Director Skills: 
• 4 year Bachelor degree or equivalent career experience
• 7+ years of experience in digital media, marketing, and team management
• Strong media vendor relationships
• Fluent in mathematical concepts with an ability to translate data into well-articulated ideas
• In-depth knowledge and proficiency of research tools
• Understanding of the principles of marketing and advertising as well as media concepts and terms
• Proven record of success in leading full service digital accounts and teams
