Job description

Our current enterprise SaaS application has evolved over a period of about ten years. We constantly need to maintain and enhance this application to satisfy business needs and in parallel we are investing in new technologies that will transform our business.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced .NET Azure Technical Architect with a strong background in event-driven architecture to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and implementing cloud-based, event-driven solutions using Microsoft Azure and .NET technologies. You will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of the project, ensuring the solution meets business requirements, and maintaining best practices in software development and cloud architecture. You will need to work with members of our internal and nearshore engineering teams, our product team, management, and other stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization early in a new phase of technology transformation.

Given the remote working model, we need someone who is highly motivated, a self-starter, well organized and comfortable interacting with a diverse range of colleagues, all of whom will also be working remotely. This role reports to the CTO and must work UK hours with some evening shifts into US hours occasionally.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable technical architectures for cloud-based, event-driven solutions using Microsoft Azure and .NET technologies.

Build and demonstrate prototypes in Blazor and C# with Azure SQL and other NoSQL stores.
Aid in the implementation of AI tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot across the software development lifecycle.

Analyze and evaluate business requirements to define the optimal technical solution and architecture, incorporating event-driven design principles.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment of technical and business objectives.

Design and develop reusable components, frameworks, and libraries that support event-driven architecture and can be leveraged across projects.

Provide guidance and mentorship to the development team on best practices in event-driven software development, cloud architecture, and Azure services.

Lead the evaluation and selection of tools, technologies, and platforms to support the implementation of cloud-based, event-driven solutions.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Azure,
.NET development, and event-driven architecture.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and
API specifications related to event-driven systems.

Assist in the estimation, planning, and scheduling of project tasks and resources, considering the unique requirements of event-driven solutions.

Identify and address technical risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle, with an emphasis on event-driven architecture and design.

Guide the development of the Blazor based front end system using event driven techniques. Design APIs for internal and external communication for inbound and outbound data.
Model and assist in auditing of security features to ensure client and business data and processes are secure. Apply for this job
