Community & Social Media Manager, CPG

PT Contract Role: 10-20 hours/week

Our client is pre-launch. They are in product development through 2022 before launching 2023. Candidates with product-launch and start-up experience are strongly preferred.

  • Create social media and communications strategies that align with company objectives
  • Develop and amplify a community of influencers, cultivating an engaged and supportive community that drives insight, value and advocacy for our brands
  • Be the voice of the company, creating engaging text, image and video content that honors our values and drives conversion and engagement
  • Build relationships with users, potential users, industry professionals and journalists
  • Schedule and interview users, taking structured notes and synthesizing key insights
  • Organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand engagement
  • Maintain cutting edge knowledge on best practices for ecommerce and product development across all social media platforms
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments, conversion tests, and growth strategies
  • Analyze and report results on a frequent basis for successes, failures, and new opportunities
  • Support development and circulation of monthly key insights and social listening reports


Preferred Experience and Capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing influencer campaigns and cultivating brand community; preferred if for high-growth DtoC CPG brands and/or beauty
  • An impressive track record of initiatives with successful KPIs
  • Experience with both strategy design and execution of campaigns
  • Experience cross-channel with Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube campaigns and influencer activation
  • Experience driving engagement and consumer discovery-led initiatives e.g., UGC, consumer panel / product testing, etc.
  • Ideal if experience managing press and editorial out-reach and relationship-building
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships, embrace change and think outside the box
  • Ability to work independently and energized by working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications; Canva or similar; Hootsuite or similar
