Job description
We are looking for an experienced Costing Manager that will be responsible for daily deliverables of costing and negotiating for seasonal items. Will report directly into VP of Sourcing and continue communication about costing, margins and deadlines. This person has solid experience working with knits and solid understanding of apparel manufacturing.Job Duties
- Work product development, production and merchandising on costing
- Negotiate labor costs with contractors
- Travel to local contractors to review samples
- Communicate with product development, technical design and production for cost reduction related to garment construction
- Sit in on fittings to call out possible challenges
- Cultivate new relationships and manage existing relationships with local contractors
- Create cost sheets in RLM
- Create and maintain costing logs
- Send seasonal estimate costing and margin report
- Work closely with merchandising to establish pricing
- Coordinate with marking and grading for yields
- Attend meetings and discuss issues and status of costing against deadlines
- Work with the PD team on sourcing
- A degree in apparel manufacturing is a plus but not required
- 5+ year experience with costing and negotiating
- Domestic and Imports experience required
- Solid Skills in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Dropbox and ERP systems (RLM)
- Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Works well independently and collaboratively within team enviornment
- Organized, detail oriented, deadline driven, and can prioritize multiple task
- Work within fast pace enviornment
- Problem analysis and problem solving
Fulltime Contracted Position
Rate: $35-45/hr DOE
